Hi everybody -
Thanks for your help in making 2009 a great season! While the park's
been closed for 7 weeks, things at Seabreeze continue to move at a brisk
pace - we're constantly working to make the park better than ever. Enjoy
the fall season, as we count down to next May. Happy reading!

Education at
Seabreeze is Fun-Damental
|
|

|
|

Did you know the park offers educational programs for
school groups? We worked with teachers to write custom labs for high
school physics, middle school physical science, and elementary
school classes. For music teachers, you can have your choir or jazz
band perform and be judged in our new Jazz & Choral Day program
(above, jazz band). Now's a great time to book your class outing -
before the year gets hectic with holidays and concerts. And now the price
is great too: we're holding next year's school group rates to last
year's prices. It's all fun - and educational!

So What Do You
Do All Winter?
|
|

|
|
In
case you're wondering: we now have 26 people working year round at
the park. About half of them do maintenance (carpenters, mechanics,
electricians, etc.) and the other half work in the office doing sales
& marketing, book keeping, personnel and operations. This winter's
projects include painting the carousel building, conducting
several market research surveys, modernizing the Jack Rabbit
lift hill drive system, doing admissions systems software
integration, and more (above, staff members working hard tasting
Mike Mantione's birthday breakfast pizza). The work never stops!

Sea Breeze Drive
Update
|
|

|
|

Every day the Route 590 / Sea Breeze Drive reconstruction
project gets closer to completion. Workers are now busy pouring
sidewalks, hooking up light fixtures, top coat paving, and
finishing the roundabouts (above, building the Titus Ave. gateway
centerpiece). The roadway is vastly improved and will beautify the
whole area leading to Sea Breeze and Irondequoit Bay.

And the Seabreeze
Survey Says...
|
|

|
|
In the next few days,
we'll invite everyone to participate in an online survey about
your visits to the park last summer - when you came, how often, and how
you decide about springtime visits. Look for an email invitation
with a link to the short survey. Please help us with your feedback,
as we explore ways to lengthen our season. We'd appreciate it!
